WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue president Mitch Daniels was on hand for the team's practice on Thursday. The Boilermakers were back at the Bimel Practice Complex after taking Wednesday's two-a-day to Rensselaer.
The team worked on two-minute offense at the end of practice, starting from its own 7-yard line and needing at least a field goal. The second and third team offenses each produced a field goal, with Paul Griggs knocking down the first from inside 30 yards, and Ian MacDougall splitting the uprights from similar distance. MacDougall's field goal was set up by a long reception by junior wide receiver Shane Mikesky over a pair of defenders. Mikesky spoke to the media after practice and his interview can be found below.
Head coach Darrell Hazell also spoke to the media. He said that the team will not wear full practice again until Saturday's Jersey Scrimmage and Fan Appreciation Day, scheduled for 11:15 a.m. in Ross-Ade Stadium. Hazell's full interview can be found below.
