WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The football team was back at it on Wednesday morning and head coach Darrell Hazell was happy with the way that the team is starting to put it together.

Hazell likes some of the position battles on both sides of the ball. The head coach mentioned the offensive line as well as the linebackers where there are still spots up for grabs. One player that has really stood out is freshman wide receiver DeAngelo Yancey. Hazell said that he is picking things up and needs to because he will contribute right away.

Jordan Roos stopped by to talk about the offensive line and the position battle he is currently in at right guard. Jimmy Herman also talked to Boilermaker All-Access about how he fits in with the linebackers this year. Both of those interviews can be found below as well as Coach Hazell’s and an exclusive look at the team's fun night at the pool from Tuesday night.

Boilermaker fans have only two more opportunities to watch the team prior to the first game at Cincinnati as camp comes to a close after the Jersey Scrimmage on Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium beginning at 11:15 a.m. ET. The other opportunity, which is on Thursday, will be the best for fans to interact with the players and coaches.

After Thursday’s 6:15 p.m. practice, the team will hold Fan Appreciation Day inside Ross-Ade Stadium to thank all of the fans for their support throughout the offseason including all of those who took the time to come out and watch practice this fall. The event will run from 8-8:40 p.m. The players and coaches will be available for pictures and autographs and fans will have the opportunity to meet their favorite players.
