WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermakers had quite a bit of special teams work in during Tuesday’s practice. Thomas Meadows has looked exceptional as the team’s kickoff specialist while a battle continues for regular placekicking duties between Sam McCartney and Paul Griggs.
Head coach Danny Hope thinks the team is further ahead this year in special teams than it was a year ago. He praised sophomore Landon Feichter for his play and said that he is a real leader for the unit.
The offense also got some good work in during practice. Coach Hope said that four quarterbacks get regular reps with Caleb TerBush, Robert Marve, Rob Henry and Austin Parker. TerBush has improved his game throughout camp and is a clear-cut No. 1, according to Hope.
