WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.- Purdue's Keith Smith is one of 51 players nationally named to the initial Biletnikoff Award Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club announced. The Boilermaker captain is one of six Big Ten Conference players on the list.
Smith, who led the Big Ten in both receptions per game (7.58) and receiving yards per game (91.7) last year, enters the 2010 season with 1,586 career yards and eight touchdowns on 140 all-time receptions. The former quarterback and safety had a breakout season in 2009, finishing with 91 catches for 1,100 yards and six touchdowns, while also throwing a touchdown pass at Oregon.
