WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue football got another beautiful day of weather on the second day of preseason camp, but unlike Saturday were not forced indoors at the conclusion of practice. Sunday was the final day of camp without pads as the Boilermakers upgrade from just helmets to pads from the waist up.
Boilermaker head coach Danny Hope is very pleased with the offensive execution through the first days, saying that while they are at the same place installing the offense, they are much further along from an execution standpoint. That being said, he has no plans to rush ahead and put too much in. On the defensive side of the ball, Hope stated the squad was much further along at this point than last year and he expects big things from the Boilermaker defense.
Camp continues tomorrow afternoon and the Boilermakers will hear from selected players and Hope again at the conclusion of practice.
