WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The 2005 Purdue football team reports to campus Tuesday, Aug. 9, and begins practice the following day.

For the third straight year, the varsity and newcomers will report on the same day. The two groups will practice separately for three days before the entire team gets together for the first time Aug. 13.

Practices are held on the intramural fields on the west side of campus off Stadium Ave. Practices are open to the public; however, if the team moves into Ross-Ade Stadium to scrimmage, those sessions likely will be closed. Log on to www.purduesports.com for complete practice coverage.

Following is the schedule for practice from Aug. 10 to Aug. 21 (subject to change):

Aug. 10 - 9:30 a.m. (Veterans) / 4 p.m. (Newcomers)
Aug. 11 - 9:20 a.m. (Veterans) / 3:50 p.m. (Newcomers)
Aug. 12 - 9:05 a.m. (Veterans) / 3:50 p.m. (Newcomers)
Aug. 13 - 3:50 p.m.
Aug. 14 - 3:35 p.m.
Aug. 15 - 7:55 a.m. / 4:30 p.m.
Aug. 16 - 4 p.m.
Aug. 17 - 7:55 a.m. / 4:30 p.m.
Aug. 18 - 3:50 p.m.
Aug. 19 - 8 a.m. / 4:30 p.m.
Aug. 20 - 3:30 p.m.
