WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue freshman Tyler Duncan has earned a spot in the 2009 NCAA Men's Golf Regional Championship to be played in Bowling Green, Ky., the weekend of May 14-16.

Thee NCAA Regional Championship at Bowling Green will be played at the Club at Olde Stone. The course is a par 72 and ranges approximately 7,400 yards.

Duncan finished tied for 39th in the 2009 Big Ten Championships in State College, Pa., on May 1-3. For the season, Duncan had six top-20 finishes and posted a 73.6 average per round, playing 28 rounds during the course of the year.

Duncan's top rounds of the season included two scores of 68, one at the Boilermaker Invitational (4/18/09) and again at the Big Ten Championships (5/2/09), and a 69 scored at the Rutherford Intercollegiate (9/2/08).

The NCAA Tournament field is made up of the top 81 teams in Division I as well as the top 45 individuals. The individual slots are determined by conference individual champions and individual national rankings, picking the 45 top players who are not on a qualifying school.
