Coach Hope talked about the development and growth of offensive lineman Rick Schmeig.
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue football team had its last practice in full pads for the spring on Wednesday, drawing closer to Saturday's Black and Gold Spring Football Game.
The Boilermakers were outdoors on Wednesday, and head coach Danny Hope was pleased with the squad's play on both sides of the ball. A few highlights of the day's action included a few open field scores from rising sophomore Akeem Hunt, as well as two interceptions by soon-to-be senior Max Charlot. The second pick came off a deflection at the line of scrimmage by Purdue standout Kawann Short.
Boilermaker All-Access got a chance to speak with offensive lineman Rick Schmeig and defensive end Robert Maci after practice, catching up on development by both guys this spring and some of their goals for this weekend and next season.
