WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermakers opened the final week of spring practices with a spirited session inside Mollenkopf Athletic Center on Monday. The offense wore the black jerseys for the first time since winning the Jersey Scrimmage on Saturday.
The wide receivers continued to work on consistency. Position coach Kevin Sherman ran the group through numerous drills to limit drops, improve blocking, and get off the line of scrimmage faster. A big play during the scrimmage portion of practice came when Danny Etling fired a 60-yard touchdown pass to Shane Mikesky. The sophomore received outran the coverage and Etling hit him in stride down the middle of the field.
Boilermaker All-Access was on hand for the practice and talked to Etling and linebacker Joe Gilliam. Coach Sherman also stopped by to talk to the media. Those interviews can be found below.
