WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermakers broke out the shoulder pads for the third day of spring practices. The offense emphasized catching the ball while the defense continued installing the playbook and working on pursuit.
The team continues to strive to get five percent better each practice and that is one thing that freshman quarterback Danny Etling talked about after practice. He said that he has enjoyed the transition to college even though the game is much faster.
Defensive coordinator Greg Hudson also talked to the media after the team's practice. He said that there are plenty of players that want to improve and win and that's what can make a team better.
Frankie Williams has worked hard all offseason because he wants to improve his play in 2013. The sophomore also talked about working with new defensive backs coach Jon Heacock and the potential for the Boilermakers. The full interviews can be seen at the bottom of the page.
Purdue has the weekend off before returning to the practice field on Monday. That practice will also be open to the fans and will run from 3:30 p.m. until approximately 5:15.
