Twenty-one captains expected back.

2009: Returned to center from offensive guard during spring practice ... received team's Pit Bull Award - Offense (exemplified and sustained tenacity and intense play) for spring season ... team co-captain.

2008: Moved from defensive tackle to center during spring season and then to offensive guard in training camp ... appeared in seven games, including four starts ... started final four games at left guard.

2007: Appeared in all 13 games ... had eight tackles (all assists), including 0.5 for loss ... recorded three tackles at Toledo on Sept. 1 ... had two tackles, including 0.5 for loss, vs. Central Michigan in Motor City Bowl on Dec. 26.

2006: Academic All-Big Ten ... appeared in 10 games as reserve ... had six tackles (4 solo, 2 assists), including 1.0 sack ... assisted on two tackles at Notre Dame on Sept. 30 ... came up with sack at Northwestern on Oct. 14.
