Pete Nochta is in his first season as a quality control graduate assistant. He works with the offense, focusing on opponent evaluation and scouting.
Notcha joins the Boilermakers after a four-year playing career at the University of Louisville. Notcha was a tight end for the Cardinals, appearing in 37 games with eight starts. He caught 11 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns during his collegiate career.
A standout high school player, Nochta was rated as the 18th best player in the state of Kentucky by Rivals.com. He played quarterback, tight end and free safety and also played center and forward in basketball for Tates Creek High School.
A native of Lexington, Ky., Nochta earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Louisville in 2010.
