2014: Started all 12 games … finished the season with 76 tackles, 43 solo and 3.5 for loss, three fumble recoveries, one PBU and one interception … started first collegiate game at outside linebacker, recording five tackles, 2 unassisted, and one PBU against Western Michigan on Aug. 30 … recorded four solo tackles and first career interception for 44 yards against Central Michigan on Sept. 6 … made nine tackles, two solo, and an assist on TFL against No. 11 Notre Dame … had seven tackles, five solo, and first career fumble recovery against Southern Illinois on Sept. 20 … made three tackles against Iowa on Sept. 27 … recorded seven tackles, two solo, at Illinois on Oct. 4 … started at inside linebacker following defensive injuries, made a career-high seven solo tackles against No. 8 Michigan State on Oct. 11 … had five tackles, two solo, and one fumble recovery at Minnesota on Oct. 18 … recorded a career-high 11 tackles, six solo, and one TFL at No. 17 Nebraska on Nov. 1 … had four solo tackles against No. 25 Wisconsin on Nov. 8 … made three tackles, two solo, one TFL and a fumble recovery against Northwestern on Nov. 22 … matched career-high 11 tackles, six solo, at Indiana on Nov. 29 … named to the ESPN.com True Freshman All-America Team and the USA TODAY Sports Freshman All-America team.
