Greg Christopher was named director of the John Purdue Club in July of 1999 after a one-year stint as assistant director.
Prior to the John Purdue Club, Christopher served as executive director of the Society of Professional Journalists, the nation’s largest journalism organization, since 1994. Before his appointment to the executive director position, Christopher was SPJ’s director of marketing and development from 1991-94.
Christopher has also held positions at WWWV-FM, a Charlottesville, Va., radio station, and with NBC in New York.
A graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Christopher received his master’s of business administration in 1991 and his bachelor’s degree in mass communication in 1988.
The West Lafayette native held a part-time marketing position in the athletic department during 1990.
