Inside the Series
• Purdue and Carroll College (Mont.) will face off for the second time in four years after meeting in an exhibition game in Nov. 2014.
• The Boilermakers won that game 90-49 as then-freshmen P.J. Thompson (16), Dakota Mathias (12) and Isaac Haas (8) combined for 36 points in that contest, making 8-of-11 from long range.
• Carroll's head coach is Dr. Carson Cunningham, who helped Purdue to a Sweet 16 (1999) and an Elite Eight (8) after transferring to Purdue from Oregon State. He scored 886 career points and dished out 318 assists, good for 16th on the Purdue career list. He is also ninth on the school's career free throw percentage list (.823).
• Carroll's win total during Cunningham's four years are 9, 18, 23 and 29. Last year, the Saints were the No. 1 national seed at the NAIA National Tournament.
• Purdue is 23-0 all-time in exhibition games under head coach Matt Painter.

• Purdue defeated Indiana State 94-72 on Saturday as four players scored in double-figures, led by Mathias and Carsen Edwards with 16 points each (box score included later in packet).
• Purdue shot 52.2 percent from the field and was 12-of-27 (.444) from long distance. Purdue also had just four turnovers in the second half after having nine in the first half.
• Purdue's 38 Big Ten wins are the second most in the league since 2014-15 (Wisconsin - 40).
• During the 2017-18 season, Purdue needs 15 home wins to match the school record for most wins at Mackey Arena during a four-year span. The classes of 2010 and 2011 have 61 home victories.
• Head coach Matt Painter is the only Big Ten coach to have won at home and on the road of every current Big Ten school.
• With the Paint Crew in attendance in games at Mackey Arena, Purdue has won 32 of its last 33 games (loss to Villanova; Nov. 14, 2016).
