Students who purchased the VIP Card for Purdue athletics events can sign up to become members of the Paint Crew from Oct. 15 to 17. Paint Crew membership will be limited to the first 1,779 members who register.
Students can begin signing up at 9 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Athletic Ticket Office. Students must enter the doors on the east side of the IAF Building to sign up for the Paint Crew. Students in line can represent up to 10 people. The group representative in line will need to have student ID's and $15 for each student represented in the group. Checks must be made payable to Purdue University.
Seating for the cheering section will again be general admission, meaning the Paint Crew members will get to sit anywhere in the designated Paint Crew sections.
"We're very excited about the new things we have in store for this season," said Dylan Reynolds, President of the Paint Crew. We will contiue to make Mackey Arena an electric environment and provide the Boilermakers with a great home-court advantage."
Students with VIP cards who don't sign up for the Paint Crew will be assigned reserved tickets for seating in the upper arena. These students may begin picking up their ticket vouchers on Monday, Oct. 20, at the Athletic Ticket Office. The entire VIP card allotment of 5,000 student tickets is sold out. However, additional season tickets in reserved seating sections will be available to Purdue students beginning on Wednesday, October 15 for $170.
"The Paint Crew has been our sixth man," said head coach Matt Painter. "They were a huge part of our team being able to go 32-2 in Mackey Arena the past two seasons."
Purdue's first exhibition game is on Friday, October 31, against Florida Southern. The first regular-season game is Friday, Nov. 14, against Detroit Mercy in Mackey Arena.
