MBB Receives Big Ten Title Rings
Sept. 25, 2017

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - With Homecoming festivities in full action this past weekend, the Purdue men's basketball team received its 2017 Big Ten Championships rings.

Led by consensus All-American and first-round NBA Draft selection Caleb Swanigan, the Boilermakers received their rings in a locker room ceremony Saturday morning. Swanigan, with the help of Spike Albrecht and Jon McKeeman, delivered the rings to each member of the team and staff.

In addition, head coach Matt Painter presented 2016 graduate Rapheal Davis a Big Ten Championship ring for his role in leading the Boilermakers during his time on the hardwood. Davis was an instrumental part in helping Purdue return to the top of the Big Ten standings and to the NCAA Tournament after missing the tournament his first two years on campus.

Purdue went 27-8 a year ago and won the Big Ten by two games with a 14-4 league mark. The Boilermakers return four starters from last year's team and will begin official practice Friday.
