TAIPEI - Spend your Saturday morning with Team USA as the Purdue men’s basketball team will participate in the opening ceremonies to officially kick off the 2017 World University Games in Taipei.

Fans back home have the ability to watch online at LiveFISU.tv.

Festivities will begin at 7 a.m. ET, from Taipei Stadium and will include approximately 140 countries and 10,000 athletes representing their countries in the Parade of Nations. Also included will be Taiwanese cultural programs, the completion of the torch relay and lighting of the Summer Universiade flame and the declaration of the opening of the games.

The United States has the second-largest delegation in Taipei behind the host country. Nearly every competition of every sport is sold out and the host country’s fans will likely support the United States in many of those venues.

USA Team basketball will open pool play Sunday against Argentina, tipping off at 5:30 p.m. local time, 5:30 a.m. ET.
