BARCELONA, Spain -- The Purdue men’s basketball started fast and never looked back in defeating the Euro Basketball Academy 117-66 on Monday to end its 10-day foreign trip with a 4-0 record.

The Boilermakers led 31-15 after one quarter and 65-30 at the halftime break.

Purdue had a whopping 36 assists on 46 made field goals and placed seven players in double figures. The Boilermakers were 46-of-86 (.535) from the field, 15-of-33 (.455) from long distance and 10-of-15 (.667) from the free throw line. The Boilermakers outrebounded EBA 62-27 and had 18 turnovers, seven of them were international traveling rules.

P.J. Thompson led Purdue with 19 points on 5-of-7 3-point attempts to go along with six assists. Caleb Swanigan recorded his third double-double of the trip with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Ryan Cline and Carsen Edwards each had 15 points. Cline made five 3-pointers and added four assists and three rebounds while Edwards had three assists. Dakota Mathias scored 13 points with seven assists and five steals, Vincent Edwards scored 12 points with six rebounds and four assists and Isaac Haas had 11 points with nine rebounds.

For the trip, Swanigan led the team in scoring (18.5 ppg) and rebounding (10.8 rpg). Carsen Edwards averaged 16.3 points per game and Isaac Haas averaged 13.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. P.J. Thompson also averaged in double figures at 10.8 points per game and led the team with 17 assists (4.3 per game).

Purdue will return to the United States on Wednesday.
