Two years ago, Kansas hosted Team Canada twice, defeating Team USA's northern neighbors by scores of 91-83 and 87-76.

Purdue will represent the Stars and Stripes in the 2017 World University Games held in Taipei from Aug. 19 to 30. The team will leave from Chicago early in the morning Aug. 14, and arrive in Taipei in the morning hours on Aug. 15. The squad is guaranteed eight games against international competition as Team USA looks for its second straight gold medal during the World University Games.

The World University Games is the second-largest international team competition in the world next to the Olympics as over 150 countries and 13,000 athletes will participate in 23 sports.
