Former Purdue stars Robbie Hummel and Lewis Jackson will wait with anticipation to hear their names called on Thursday night when the NBA holds its annual draft in Newark, N.J. The draft will air on ESPN and ESPN3.com, with coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Should both Hummel and Jackson be chosen on Thursday, they will be the fourth and fifth Purdue players drafted in the Painter Era, joining 2007 second-round selection Carl Landry, 2011 first-round pick JaJuan Johnson and 2011 second-round choice E'Twaun Moore ... Should either be drafted in the first round, he will be the eighth first-round pick in program history (also Dave Schellhase, Herm Gilliam, Joe Barry Carroll, Keith Edmonson, Russell Cross, Glenn Robinson and JaJuan Johnson) ... There have been 13 occasions on which two Purdue players have been drafted in the same year, most recently when Johnson and Moore were both chosen in 2011 ... The last time Purdue had multiple players drafted in consecutive years was 1977 and 1978, when Bruce Parkinson and Tom Scheffler were taken in '77 and Walter Jordan and Eugene Parker were chosen the following year ... In 2012, there were five Boilermakers playing in the NBA (Brian Cardinal, JaJuan Johnson, Carl Landry, Brad Miller and E'Twaun Moore), and in the history of the program, 43 Purdue players have been drafted by NBA teams ... The Golden State Warriors have drafted five Purdue players, more than any other NBA team.
