Painter on Thompson:
"P.J. is a very skilled, quintessential point guard that can dribble, pass and shoot. He has an excellent pull-up jumper and can also hit the three. Perhaps most importantly, P.J. is a coach on the floor. From the moment we started recruiting him, we have been very impressed with his leadership abilities and maturity.
