WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue basketball has seen the first individual honor of the 2008-09 season roll in as sophomore JaJuan Johnson was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division I All-District team.

Johnson, who is averaging over 13 points per game, was named to the NABC District 7 first team. He is joined by Kalin Lucas (Michigan State), Evan Turner (Ohio State), Talor Battle (Penn State) and Manny Harris (Michigan) on the first team.

Overall, there were 240 players from 24 districts honored by the NABC. These players are now eligible for State Farm Coaches' All-America honors, which will be announced Saturday, April 4.
