Purdue Falls to Wisconsin, 67-62
Ben Brust scored 13 points and Wisconsin ended its three-game losing streak, beating Purdue 67-62 Thursday night.

» Purdue will look to snap a three-game road losing streak and earn its first win at the Kohl Center since January 2009 when it squares off with No. 17/16 Wisconsin on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

» The teams have split the last six meetings following a four-game Boilermaker winning streak in the series from 2008-09; the Kohl Center is the lone B1G venue in which seniors Dru Anthrop and D.J. Byrd have not posted a victory.

» The Boilers received some good off-the-court news on Thursday when head coach Matt Painter was named to the five-man USA Basketball Men's Junior National Team Committee, his third USA Basketball appointment since 2009.

» Purdue is coming off a 58-48 loss at Iowa on Wednesday in which it got a combined 35 points on 15-of-24 shooting from freshmen Donnie Hale, A.J. Hammons and Ronnie Johnson.

» The rookie quartet of Hale, Hammons, Johnson and Rapheal Davis are combining to average 29.9 points per game this season, which translates into 46.5 percent of the Boilermakers' scoring on the year.

» Purdue held Iowa to 31.4 percent shooting and ranks third in field goal percentage defense in B1G games (40.8).

» The Boilermakers head into the weekend as the top-ranked rebounding team in the Big Ten in league action, grabbing an average of 37.9 per game; Purdue's average of 13.2 offensive boards per game in league play ranks second in the B1G.

» The Boilers enter the weekend ranked second in the Big Ten with an average of 4.9 blocks per game in B1G play; Hammons leads the B1G with an average of 2.4 blocks per game in conference action, piling up 36 in 15 games.

» Hammons ranks in the top four among B1G freshmen in points, total rebounds, offensive rebounds defensive rebounds and blocks per game (both overall and conference); he is the only active freshman in the power six conferences averaging at least 10 points, six rebounds and two blocks per game.

» With Hammons as the focal point, the Boilers have scored 898 of their 1,800 points (49.9 percent) this season in the paint; Purdue is averaging 32.1 points per game in the paint and outscoring opponents by an average of 5.9 points per game on the block.

» Playmaking brothers Ronnie and Terone Johnson account for 34.2 percent of Purdue's scoring and 47.7 percent of the team's assists on the season; they combine to average 23.5 points and 6.5 assists per game in Big Ten play.

» Ronnie Johnson has been stellar with the ball in his hands in Big Ten play, ranking second in the league in assists per game (4.2) and sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.6) in B1G games; he is also averaging 10.5 points per game in league.

» Terone Johnson is in the midst of the best three-point shooting stretch of his career, knocking down 9-of-18 (50.0 percent) from beyond the arc in the Boilermakers' last five games.
