VOTE HERE EVERY DAY!

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue men's basketball head coach Matt Painter has advanced to the Round of 16 in the Coaches' Charity Challenge and now needs your help to keep advancing.

For the next two weeks, fans can vote once a day every day to advance Coach Painter and his charity, the Smith Family BReaK Thru Fund, into the round of four and a chance at $100,000 for the charity.

Painter finished the round of 24 voting phase as the second-leading vote-getter behind Ohio State's Thad Matta. Thanks to Purdue's loyal fans and Painter's advancement into the Round of 16, $10,000 has already been raised for the charity.

Voting for the Round of 16 will conclude March 2 at noon, when the four finalists will be announced. Each finalist's charity will receive $15,000, while the winning charity will receive a contribution of $100,000. The finals round will run from March 3 to March 16.

The Smith Family BReaK Thru Fund is a West Lafayette-based organization whose mission is to fund research to fight Niemann-Pick Type C Disease (NPC). The fund was set up by a family with three children impacted by NPC, and has funded more than $200,000 in research at Purdue since its inception in 2008.
