Purdue Routs San Francisco to Win Boilermaker Invitational
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Chad Austin scored a season-high 29 points as seventh-ranked Purdue rode a 16-0 second-half spurt to a 107-82 rout of San Francisco in the championship game of the Boilermaker Invitational.
Mike Robinson added 23 points for the Boilermakers (8-2), who played without starting center Brad Miller, who also missed Friday's game with a bruised left elbow. Purdue had five players in double figures and dug itself out of a 14-point hole in the first half.
Hakeem Ward scored 25 points and Ali Thomas added 14 for San Francisco (6-2), which had a six-game winning streak halted. The Dons, who held a one-point halftime lead, have lost both meetings with Purdue.
