Purdue Downs Australian Team in Exhibition Contest
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Brad Miller scored 18 points and hauled down seven rebounds to lead the Purdue Boilermakers to a 77-63 victory over the Australian National Team in an exhibition game played at Mackey Arena.
Purdue built a 17-point halftime lead and cruised to the victory, thanks in large part to red-hot shooting. The Boilermakers shot 55 percent from the field on the evening, led by Millers six-for-six performance. Gary McQuay also had a strong game for the home team, contributing 15 points off the bench.
Former Arizona State player Tony Ronaldson led the Australian squad with 13 points.
Purdue will wrap up its exhibition schedule on Sunday against the Russian Select Team.
