LAS VEGAS (AP) - Bradley Jackson scored a career-high 16 points and Texas A&M beat Purdue 71-65 in the final game of pool play in the Las Vegas Classic on Friday night to snap a four-game losing streak.

Bernard King scored 15 points for Texas A&M (6-5) and Nick Anderson added 13. Andy Slocum pulled down 13 rebounds.

Willie Deane had 26 points for Purdue (7-5), which despite the loss won its pool to advance to Saturday night's championship game against No. 25 Cincinnati. Dametreis Kilgore added 12 points for the Boilermakers and Rodney Smith had 11.

Texas A&M shot 48 percent from the field (26-of-54), while limiting the Boilermakers to only 39 percent (21-of-53).

The game was tied 35-35 at halftime, but the Aggies built a 60-49 lead with 6:08 remaining. Deane hit four straight free throws and Kilgore added a jumper to cut the lead to 60-55 with 4:15 left.

But the Aggies Larry Scott answered with a 3-pointer to extend the lead to 63-55 with 3:13 to go and Purdue never got closer than six points.
