• Purdue won its third straight game, two of them coming by five points ... Purdue is 8-2 after 10 games for the sixth time in Matt Painter's nine years in charge of the Purdue basketball program.
• Purdue has held four straight foes to under 70 points, after doing it just once in the season's first six games.
• Purdue forced a season-high 20 turnovers, turning them into 18 points ... the 20 forced turnovers were the most for the Boilermakers since Xavier had 22 on Dec. 3, 2011.
• Purdue won the "Points in the Paint" battle for the seventh time this year, by a 28-20 advantage ... Boilers are 7-0 when that happens.
• Purdue is now 7-0 at home and will go for an undefeated non-conference home mark when Md.-Eastern Shore visits on Dec. 17 ... With a win over UMES, Purdue would own its sixth undefeated non-conference home slate in Matt Painter's nine years in charge.

• Purdue went 12-of-17 from the free throw line in the final five minutes ... in the game's first 35 minutes, the Boilermakers went just 11-of-21.
• Purdue was outrebounded by seven today (39-32), the largest negative rebounding margin since last year vs. Indiana (Feb. 16, 2013).
• Over the last four games, foes are shooting just 90-of-217 (.415) from the field.
• In two of the last three games (Siena, Eastern Michigan), the Boilermakers have made more free throws than their opponent has attempted ... over the last three games, Purdue has made 53 free throws (79 attempts); opponents have taken 64 free throws.

Terone Johnson moved into 40th place on Purdue's career scoring list with 1,063 points.
Basil Smotherman is now shooting 24-of-36 (.667) on the season and in the last nine games, is 24-of-34 (.706) ... Smotherman's six rebounds were a career high.
Ronnie Johnson saw a streak of 13 straight games in double figures come to a close today with just two points ... he did add three assists and two steals in just 16 minutes of action ... he also saw a streak of 34 consecutive starts, dating back to last year, end.
Kendall Stephens scored a career-high 13 points and moved into a tie for ninth on Purdue freshman three-pointers made list ... he has made at least three three-pointers in four of his 10 career games and has a triple in seven straight games.
A.J. Hammons blocked four more shots and now has 103 for his career (in 43 games), becoming the eighth player in school history with 100 career blocked shots ... over the last five games, Hammons is averaging 8.4 rebounds, 7.6 points and 3.6 blocks per game ... he has had at least four blocked shots in five games this year.
Bryson Scott scored 16 points and dished out a career-high five assists with three steals ... Scott went 10-of-13 from the free throw line, scoring 15 of his points in the second half ... he was 6-of-7 from the free throw line in the final five minutes ... Scott earned his first career start.
Sterling Carter buried a pair of three-pointers for six points, going 2-of-3 from long distance ... in the last two games, Carter is 4-of-7 from long distance; in the first eight games, Carter went 6-of-31 from long range.
