Terone Johnson moved into 42nd place on the school's career scoring list with 1,054 points (18 tonight) ... needs just six points to move into the top 40 (Bob Purkiser is 40th -- 1,060 points) ... his 18 points matched a Navy-team high this year (Bryson Scott had 18 vs. Oklahoma State; Ronnie Johnson had 18 vs. Northern Kentucky).
Basil Smotherman is now shooting 21-of-32 (.656) on the season and in the last eight games, is now 21-of-30 (.700) ... four of his 21 field goals have been dunks ... he played a career-high 22 minutes and made his first career three-pointer.
Ronnie Johnson scored in double figures for the 13th straight game with 15 points, six assists and three rebounds ... it was his third 15-point, six-assist game of his career (last year vs. Michigan State and Santa Clara).
Kendall Stephens scored 11 points in 10 minutes, all of it coming in the first half ... Stephens went 3-of-3 from long distance and now is 19-of-45 (.422) on the season from long distance ... it marked his fourth game this year (out of nine) with at least three 3-ptrs ... his 11 points tied a career high and he has hit a trifecta in six straight games.
Jay Simpson grabbed a career-high eight rebounds in just 17 minutes ... per 40 minutes this year, Simpson is averaging 14.2 rebounds per game.
A.J. Hammons blocked three more shots and now has 99 for his career (in 42 games) ... Hammons dished out two assists and had no turnovers after having six turnovers vs. Siena on Sunday ... over the last four games, Hammons is averaging 8.8 rebounds per game in 22.3 minutes per contest.
Rapheal Davis dished out a career-high five assists in just 23 minutes and recorded his first career "statsheet stuffer" game (at least five in three different categories) with six points, six rebounds and five assists.
