GAME NOTES
-With the win, Matt Painter improves to 13-0 in exhibition games as Purdue's head coach. Coach Painter's career exhibition record as a head coach is now 15-0.
-The win for Purdue is the 18th consecutive exhibition win and improves its overall exhibition record to 52-7.
-In 2008, Purdue and Northern State faced off in another exhibition game in which the Boilermakers won 81-61.
-In the first half, the Boilermakers forced 15 turnovers. Northern State only had 14 field goal attempts for the half. For the game the Boilers forced 24 turnovers.
-To begin and end the first half, the Boilermakers had matching 7-0 runs, spanning 2:18 and 1:59 respectively.

TEAM HIGHS AND LOWS
-The game's leading scorer was preseason all Big Ten selection Robbie Hummel. Hummel had 18 points and seven rebounds for the game.
-With all the young Boilermakers getting playing time, the bench was a large contributor tonight. As a whole the Purdue bench had 40 points. The leading scorers off the bench were freshman Anthony Johnson and Donnie Hale, who both finished with nine points.
-Combined, sophomores Sandi Marcius and Travis Carroll had 20 points and shot 8-for-8 from the field. Both players shot 4-for-4. Carroll had 12 points and Marcius had eight.
-For the game, the Boilermaker's shot 79.2% from the free throw line. This is a Purdue exhibition game high. The previous mark came against Saginaw Valley State on Nov. 8, 2007, in which the Boilers shot 78.3% for the game.
