  • With the wins, Purdue improves its all-time program record to 1,568-911 since its inception in 1896-97.
  • The win also makes Purdue 486-113 in Mackey Arena since the building opened in 1967-68.
  • The win moves head coach Matt Painter's career record to 93-49 overall and 68-44 at Purdue.
  • Painter improves to 50-9 at home as the head coach at Purdue.
  • The win improves Purdue to 101-62 all-time against Wisconsin and improves their all-time Big Ten record to 839-608 and 1-2 this season.
  • Sophomore JaJuan Johnson failed to record a block in the contest, ending his streak of consecutive games with at least one block at 16 games.
  • After trailing 6-7 early, the Boilermakers went on a 19-4 run spanning 9:04 minutes to give them a 14 point lead, at 25-11, with 5:29 remaining in the first half. Purdue was led by sophomore JaJuan Johnson who scored eight of his 14 first half points in the run.
  • Johnson made six of his seven shots in the first half and also recorded four rebounds and two steals in the half.
  • Johnson also led Purdue in the opening minutes, scoring their first six points of the game.
  • Johnson finished the game leading Purdue in points with 20. He also led Purdue with 10 rebounds and two steals. The double-double was the second of his career as well as the second in three games for Johnson. Johnson finished 8-of-10 from the field in the game.
  • All eight Boilermakers that played in the contest scored four-or-more points.
  • Purdue held Wisconsin scoreless for 5:41 minutes, from the 15:38 mark remaining in the first half until they finally scored on a basket by sophomore Jon Leuer with 9:57 remaining in the first half. In that time, Purdue used a 9-0 run to take a 15-7 lead.
  • Purdue led, 32-26, at the half. It is only the third time this season that Wisconsin has trailed going into halftime. The other two occurrences resulted in losses for the Badgers.
  • Purdue outrebounded the Badgers 34-to-29 in the game. The win makes Purdue 6-1 in games that it outrebounds its opponents with the only loss coming to Illinois. Wisconsin drops to 1-4 in games where it is outrebounded.
  • Purdue used an 11-2 second half run spanning 2:52 minutes to give the Boilermakers a 15 point lead at 49-34 with 11:37 remaining.
  • After failing to score in double figures in three straight games, Hummel contributed 16 points in the game along with 4-of-8 shooting from three-point range. He also recorded five rebounds, two assists and a steal.
