Inside Mike Robinson

  • I started playing basketball: since I could walk.
  • One thing about me that I wish people knew about me but don't: that I am very friendly.
  • Person I would most like to meet: my dad's mother, who passed away before I was born.
  • When I'm not playing basketball, I like to: go out and eat.
  • The best player I ever played against: Michael Jordan ... you can imagine how I did.
  • The toughest arena I ever played in: at Michigan State.
  • The first time I walked into Mackey Arena for a game: I hoped that it would be sold out for my entire career.
  • Biggest athletic thrill: reaching the "Sweet 16" in 1998.
  • Since I've been at Purdue, I've learned: that not everything goes as planned.
  • The thing about Coach Keady that impresses me: he's not as mean as people think he is ... he's a really nice guy.
  • Preseason team MVP: Chad Kerkhof ... he's worked on his game all summer.
  • Preseason team surprise player and why: Adam Wetzel because he has worked really hard since he got here.
