Miller Scores 28 in Purdue's Win Over Sunair

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Senior center Brad Miller had 28 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Boilermakers past Sunair Basketball Club in Oostende, Belgium. Purdue notched its seventh-straight win on its nine-game Spring European Tour. The win was especially nice for head coach Gene Keady, who celebrated his birthday.

Other double-figure scorers included Chad Austin (23 points), Jaraan Cornell (21), Mike Robinson (11) and Brian Cardinal (10). Alan Eldridge and Gary McQuay each had eight points and Chad Kerkhof added one to round out the scoring.

The Boilermakers took advance of poor ballhandling by Sunair. Austin and Eldridge had five steals apiece. Eldridge also dished out a team-high six assists. Cardinal had three steals and eight rebounds.

Purdue made 45-79 (.570) shots from the field and 17-21 (.810) from the free-throw line. Sunair shot 56 percent from the field, including 9-20 on 3-pointers but made only 6-of-15 free throws.

Purdue will play its final two games against the Lavellois Basketball Club in France.
