Parkview Field | Complete 2011 Purdue Schedule

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue and IPFW have mutually agreed to switch the home dates for this spring's midweek baseball series to allow the April 13 game to be played at Parkview Field, home of the Midwest League's Fort Wayne TinCaps.

Purdue will now host IPFW March 29 at Lambert Field. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m. The April 13 game in Fort Wayne will be played under the lights and feature a 7 p.m. first pitch.

The original schedule called for IPFW to host Purdue at its on-campus facility on March 29 and for the Mastodons to visit West Lafayette on April 13.

The Fort Wayne TipCaps are a Class A Minor League Baseball affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Located in downtown Fort Wayne, Parkview Field opened in 2009.

Purdue is now scheduled to play four of its first six games at home after returning from the annual spring break trip, which is slated for March 11-20 in Tennessee this spring. However, the Boilermakers are now scheduled to play 10 consecutive games away from home from April 12-26. That stretch features Big Ten Conference series at Penn State (April 15-17) and Northwestern (April 22-24).

Purdue opens its 2011 campaign the weekend of Feb. 18-20 at the Big East/Big Ten Challenge in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area of Florida's Gulf Coast. The Boilermakers are slated to play Connecticut, Notre Dame and Pittsburgh during their season-opening weekend.
