Aug. 21 Update: The Sept. 3 informational meeting has been moved to the third floor of the Ross-Ade Stadium Pavilion. The Sept. 10 meeting will remain on the sixth floor.
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue students interested in open tryouts for the 2014-2015 Purdue baseball team should attend the first of two informational meetings on Wednesday, Sept. 3, head coach Doug Schreiber has announced.
There will be two mandatory player information meetings prior to the actual tryout. The meetings will be held at 5 p.m. in the Ross-Ade Stadium Pavilion on Wednesday, Sept. 3 (third floor) and Wednesday, Sept. 10 (sixth floor). Students need to attend both meetings.
The on-field tryout will be held at Alexander Field on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. More information about the tryout will be provided during the first informational meeting on Sept. 3.
Prior to trying out, potential student-athletes must:
-- Bring proof of a medical physical by a physician within the last 12 months;
-- Bring proof of sickle cell blood test results;
-- Be registered through the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse at NCAAclearninghouse.net;
-- Be enrolled in at least 12 hours at Purdue University (West Lafayette campus).
