WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue baseball's Big Ten home opener against Penn State has been postponed until Saturday due to 25 mph winds coupled with frigid temperatures that were continuing to drop. A doubleheader is now set for Saturday at 2 p.m. at Alexander Field.
The Big Ten Network will not be televising either game of Saturday's doubleheader, but is still scheduled to carry Sunday's series finale at noon. Game one of Saturday's doubleheader will be available at Boilermaker All-Access via a multi-camera BTN Digital Network production. Game two will likely be a single-camera webcast with the accompanying radio call.
Fans that had tickets for Friday's game may use those tickets for either or both games of Saturday's doubleheader. They can also exchange the tickets for general admission seats to any future home game this season. Purdue faculty and staff receive $1 general admission tickets to both games of the doubleheader Saturday.
The Boilermakers have had multiple games either postponed or canceled due to weather this season, including an entire series at Missouri State getting canceled the first weekend of March. The first three midweek games of the year featured either a location or date change.
