WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Three of Purdue baseball's games, including two home dates at Alexander Field, have been selected for live television coverage by the Big Ten Network.
Sunday home games against Illinois (April 23) and Michigan (May 14) are scheduled to be televised live by the BTN. First pitch was moved to 3 p.m. ET on both days to accommodate the live TV coverage. The Boilermakers will make their season debut on BTN on Saturday, April 1 at Ohio State. The start time (6 p.m.) for that game was also changed. All three games are also available via BTN2Go.com and the BTN2Go app, but an authenticated cable or satellite TV subscription that includes BTN is required. As many as 15 games at the eight-team Big Ten Tournament in May are also scheduled to be televised live by the BTN.
Live video webcasts of numerous other games, including the March 24 conference opener at Iowa, are available via BTN Plus on BTN2Go, which can also be seen at BTN2Go.com and the BTN2Go app. It's a pay-per-view service that does not require a pay-TV subscription. Most will be multi-camera productions with replays and graphics made possible by the BTN Student U initiative. At Purdue, the Student U staff is enrolled in the film and video studies 491 live television production course.
Two subscriptions plans are available:
1. School Pass: $9.95 per month or $79.95 for the year, giving subscribers access to webcasts of all their favorite school's games across all sports.
2. Conference Pass: $14.95 per month or $119.95 for the year, giving subscribers access to all webcast content offered via BTN Plus on BTN2Go.
Purdue Athletics is also partnering with MTC Sports again to provide multi-camera webcasts of five other games this season. The finale of the Indiana series (April 9), entire Northwestern series (May 5-7) and midweek finale vs. Fort Wayne in Kokomo (May 16) will all be produced by MTC Sports. These will also be high-level productions featuring replays and graphics.
The April 9 game vs. IU game will be offered for free by MTC Sports on ISCSportsNetwork.com and the new ISC Sports app. The Northwestern series will streamed on BTN2Go as part of standard BTN Plus subscription. The ISC Sports app is now available for Apple and Android devices and will also be on Roku in April. BTN2Go also works with Roku and Chromecast.
Lastly, Purdue's midweek games at Louisville and Indiana State will be available on WatchESPN and ESPN3. An authenticated pay-TV subscription will likely be required.
Video links to all Purdue games are always listed on the schedule pages here at PurdueSports.com. Free live audio is also available for all Purdue baseball games via the Stretch Internet portal.
