WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Fans of all ages are invited to Purdue baseball's preseason fan fest, set for Sunday, Feb. 11, inside the Mollenkopf Athletic Center.

The free event will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. ET on the Sunday before the Boilermakers' season-opening weekend. Purdue players will be assisting with the skill stations and other indoor activities for children. Players will also be signing autographs.

Fans can take home a 2018 Purdue baseball poster. The Sandlot-inspired design featuring the team's seniors was a big hit when it was released on social media on Jan. 30.

The preseason fan fest is a new event organized by the program. The 2018 Boilermakers open official preseason practice Friday, Jan. 26 and their new season Friday, Feb. 16.

Free parking will be available in the "F Lot" located east of Mollenkopf and north of Mackey Arena.

The Boilermakers are looking to build upon their program-record 19-win improvement in 2017, which was their first season under head coach Mark Wasikowski. Purdue's 2018 schedule features five home weekends as part of a 24-game home slate at Alexander Field. The home-opening weekend is set for March 23 to 25. The back half of the schedule is home heavy again, with 13 of the Boilermakers' final 16 regular-season games slated to be played at Alexander.

Purdue's home attendance in 2017 exceeded over 21,000 fans, a high-water mark in the five-year history of Alexander Field. The Boilermakers are set to welcome back 19 letterwinners, including eight starters in the regular lineup, from last year's team that won four times in walk-off fashion and returned to the Big Ten Tournament for the first time since winning the event in 2012.

Season tickets are on sale now and are priced as low as $30 for adult general admission seats. Single-game tickets to all 24 games at Alexander Field this spring will go on sale in mid-February. A full list of promotions and special events at Alexander will also be announced next month.

Purdue opens its new season with a three-game series at Baylor. Friday, Feb. 16 is the national opening day for college baseball.
