2014 Season
Grant played in 13 games and started four times... started all three of the games Southern Illinois series and the finale of the Illinois series... made two starts at shortstop and two starts at third base... doubled in each of the first two games of the SIU series... recorded his first collegiate hit in his return to his native San Diego in game two at San Diego State... also walked and scored a run in game two at SIU... walked in the finale of the Michigan series... committed just one error and helped Purdue turn three double plays. Grant was a four-year letter-winner for coaches Gary Remiker and Anthony Stabile at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego... high school teammate of fellow Boilermaker Derek Black... three-year varsity starter played shortstop as a senior and second base as a sophomore... started every game as an upperclassman, seeing action at seven different positions as a junior... team's gold glove award winner as a junior, recognizing him as its best fielder... led the team in extra-base hits in each of his upperclassman seasons... also played wide receiver on the football team... all-academic team honoree... helped lead CCHS to California Interscholastic Federation San Diego Division championships in 2011 and 2012.
