Career: rguably the best defensive shortstop in the Big Ten ... backed that statement up by being named first-team All-Big Ten at shortstop ... earned praise for his defensive play in his first season of 2000 ... continued his solid defensive play as a senior, while swinging the bat with more authority ... was productive on offense down the stretch and in conference play ... a nice complement to second baseman Blomberg, giving the Boilermakers one of the best middle infields in college baseball ... possesses great arm and is very quick with his glove ... very smart player, able to place bunts down to play into the Boilermakers? aggressive baserunning ... one of the team?s top baserunners.
