2010 Season
Mascarello pitched in 10 games and started three times ... earned the victory in game two of the Missouri series with six innings of two-run ball ... also started the home game against Illinois State and the middle game of the Michigan series ... .203 batting average against in true road games was tops on the team ... limited left-handed hitters to a .174 average (4-for-23) ... tough with two outs in an inning, limiting hitters to a .212 average ... allowed only two of eight inherited base runners to score ... impressed his season debut, striking out a career-high eight over 5 2/3 innings of one-run relief in game one at Eastern Kentucky ... that outing led to a strong overall showing in March, compiling a 1.80 ERA and .189 batting average against over 20 innings pitched ... gave up only one earned run over seven innings, striking out five while not issuing a walk in his start against Illinois State ... worked six innings of two-run ball in his win his win at Missouri ... did not give up a run in relief appearances against Ohio, Illinois State, Chicago State and IPFW.

Iowa (April 3-4): Appeared in one game of the three-game series ... Illinois State (April 8): Surrendered three unearned runs on four hits in 3 1/3 innings of work. Struck out three and walked two ... at Penn State (April 10-12): Retired the two hitters he faced in one appearance ... Ohio State (April 17-18): Tossed a combined 3 2/3 scoreless innings in two relief appearances ... Indiana (May 2-3): Appeared in one game ... Big Ten Tournament (May 20-22): Tossed one shutout inning against Minnesota in the final game of the season.
