Career:Ace of the Purdue staff, Quick has developed into a great control pitcher ... controls the tempo of the game, and has done a great job of keeping the Boilermakers in several games this season ... made an impressive debut last season after transferring from Riverside Community College (CA) ... rapidly established himself as one of the top pitchers on the team and in the Big Ten.

2001: Was a second-team All-Big Ten selection for a second consecutive year ... led the team with seven victories and 79 strikeouts, the third-highest single-season strikeout total in school history ... set a new school record with 98.1 innings pitched in one season ... picked up where he left off after strong junior debut, pitching a complete-game victory at No. 1-ranked Rice in the season opener ... allowed just two runs, striking out nine and walking just against the previously unbeaten Owls ... pitched strong in a loss to Ball State, allowing just two runs with nine strikeouts and two walks for the second consecutive week, while only allowing five hits ... got a no decision against Troy State at the Wiregrass Classic in Dothan, Ala., pitching eight innings, allowing just one run and striking out a season-high ten batters ... won his second game of the season at Michigan State, pitching 7.1 innings, allowing just one run and three hits, striking outfour batters ... won four of his next five decisions, pitching a complete game at Northwestern, striking out six and allowing just two earned runs, pitching eight innings and allowing just one run against Penn State and pitching a complete-game victory at Indiana ... surpassed his 2000 strikeout total at Indiana State, in his 12th start of the season ... pitched a gem of a complete game in his final regular season appearance, pitching a complete nine-inning game, allowing seven hits and one run and striking out four in an 8-1 victory over Iowa ... pitched 4.2 innings against Illinois, in a game that was suspended due to rain.

2000:Named second-team All-Big Ten selection...also an Academic All-Big Ten selection...made 13 appearances, all starts...was 5-4 with one complete game...led all Purdue starters with an ERA of 3.63...owned the Purdue lead in innings pitched (91.2) and strikeouts (64)...opposing hitters hit a low .208 against him as he only surrendered 71 hits...pitched complete game against Penn State in a seven-inning outing on March 31...has the highest average inning per appearance output on Purdue squad (7.22)...picked up wins over Vanderbilt, Michigan State, Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois.

Riverside Community College: Played in 16 games as a freshman, starting one... finished his first season with a 1-1 record, and a 5.45 ERA... in 38 innings pitched, he struck out 27 and gave up 23 earned runs... in sophomore season, he played in 15 games and started five... managed a 3-2 record on the season, with 48 strikeouts over 50 innings... had a 4.86 ERA with opponents batting .274... had one complete game and one shutout.
