Dressler pitched in two games, both in relief... was limited by an injury early in the season... worked 2 1/3 innings of one-hit relief in the nightcap of the Butler doubleheader... also pitched in the nightcap of the Gonzaga doubleheader in Phoenix. Dressler was a four-year letter-winner for coaches Justin Cronin and Tom Dorrance at Hinsdale Central High School in suburban Chicago... three-year member of the varsity was an All-West Suburban Conference honoree as a junior... went 2-1 with 30 strikeouts, a 2.30 ERA and 1.26 WHIP as a senior... excelled as a sophomore on varsity, compiling a 4-2 record and 2.29 ERA... also played basketball as a freshman.
