Baseball Heads to Penn State for Final Series of Season

The Purdue baseball team travels to Penn State for a four-game Big Ten series with the Nittany Lions on May 9-11. The two teams will play single games on Saturday and Monday and a double-header on Sunday.

The Boilers are currently 22-27 overall and 8-16 in the Big Ten, placing them in ninth place in the conference. Penn State is currently fourth in the Big Ten with a 13-10 conference record (25-21 overall). Sophomore shortstop Daryl Hallada leads the Boilers with a .407 average in his bid to become Purdue's first .400 since Phil Hollis hit a school-record .432 in 1991. Sophomore Chris Walker is not far behind Hallada, hitting .396 in 1998.
