Baseball Bats Silent in Loss to Fresno State
Boilers manage only six hits in 13-3 loss

The Purdue baseball team managed only six hits in a 13-3 loss to Fresno State on Monday in the Pepsi/Johnny Quik Classic in Fresno, Calif.
The Boilers were led by senior Bill Bennett who drove in two of Purdue,s three runs with his second home run of the season. Sophomore Erik Frei had two hits for Purdue, while sophomore Daryl Hallada hit a solo home run in the fourth.
Bulldog pitcher Tom Graham struck out six Boilers over 6.1 innings to pick up the victory in his first start of the season. Fresno State was also successful at the plate, tying a tournament record with five home runs.
Purdue continues in the tournament with a 4 p.m. game against Evansville on Tuesday.
