WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue will salute veterans and active duty military personnel Nov. 9 in conjunction with the football game against Iowa and the upcoming Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

Current military members, ROTC members and retired veterans, as well as some Honor Flight participants will line the way as the Boilermakers take the field. Members of the Entrepreneurial Business Veterans group also will be on the field pregame.

During the game, those men and women who are serving or have served in each branch of the United States Armed Forces will be recognized.

During halftime, an enlistment ceremony will take place for approximately 100 individuals who have made the commitment to serve our country.

Also at halftime, the "All-American" Marching Band show will be a military tribute, including the service songs for each branch as well as hits from the movies "Stripes" and "Top Gun."

Throughout the game, the video board will feature "thank you's" from head coach Darrell Hazell and the Boilermakers to family members and others who are or have been defenders of our freedom.

The team will wear helmets with an American flag-themed P logo, and the Big Ten school flags at Ross-Ade will be replaced with American flags.

Kickoff Saturday is noon.
