WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Mackey Arena seat reallocation process is complete.
"First and foremost, I want to thank our loyal John Purdue Club members for bearing with us during the last two months," athletics director Morgan Burke said. "My pledge to you in April was that we would be ready and willing to assist, and I hope everyone who went through the process found the tools manageable and our staff accommodating. At the same time, we recognize there is disappointment by some individuals who had to move out of seats they held for many years."
The average order size for John Purdue Club members who ordered for the 2011-12 season during the reallocation process was 3.36 tickets. That figure compares with 2.87 tickets for John Purdue Club members last season, representing less than a half-ticket increase.
On Friday, some 1,200 men's basketball upper arena season tickets will go on sale to the general public, as well as any John Purdue Club members who wish to purchase additional ones. They are priced at $394 each plus a $100 Legacy Fund donation per ticket.
Women's basketball season tickets also remain available, both lower arena ($132 each plus $10 Legacy Fund donation per ticket) and upper arena ($80 each plus $5 Legacy Fund donation per ticket).
Tickets may be purchased in-person at the Athletic Ticket Office (which moves into the new Mackey Complex next week), via phone (800-49-SPORT) or online.
In addition, club and courtside seats remain available to John Purdue Club members at the All-American and higher level for men's basketball and to all members for women's basketball. For more information, call the John Purdue Club at 765-494-3248 or 800-213-2239.
