Purdue Day of Giving
April 29, 2015

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University has set aside today, April 29, to celebrate its second-annual Day of Giving, encouraging students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors and friends from all campuses to contribute to the university.

The John Purdue Club is involved in the Purdue Day of Giving. Tomorrow, April 30, marks the renewal deadline for JPC membership, and members can renew or upgrade here. John Purdue Club members also can make an additional gift of any amount to their existing membership.

Today's theme is "I am a Boilermaker."

The Purdue Day of Giving is a 24-hour, online event and will feature social media components to engage donors. John Purdue Club members are encouraged to spread the word via social media.

Purdue Athletics will be providing live coverage today via Periscope; follow @PurdueSports for interviews, facility tours and more.

Here's how you can help:

Make a Gift
Any size gift makes a huge impact and will be applied to your JPC membership! Starting at just $10, you can support Purdue Athletics and the John Purdue Club by making a gift online. You can make a gift today here.

Social Media
Please help us spread the word on social media and help build awareness and encourage other Boilermakers to support Purdue Athletics. Feel free to share and retweet the content posted on @PurdueSports and @JohnPurdueClub social media accounts. Be sure to use #PurdueDayOfGiving in all of your posts.

Membership Renewal
Purdue Day of Giving is just one day before the JPC renewal deadline. If you haven't already renewed your membership, today is the perfect opportunity. Again, all gifts made on the Purdue Day of Giving will count towards your membership for the upcoming year.

The mission of the John Purdue Club is to provide the financial support for all athletic scholarships, academic support and "special" facility projects. Gifts are not used to pay the salaries of athletics department employees.

Academic and non-academic units across the West Lafayette campus will participate in the Day of Giving, including all of the colleges. Those units will compete with each other and the regional campuses to raise the most dollars and engage the highest percentage of participants.

Those wanting to donate on the Day of Giving have several options:
* Online
* By phone: 765-494-3248
