2010: Took the top spot in the season-opening IPFW Invitational (9/11) with a time of 24:12.82; finished first on the team and third overall at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships (9/17) with a time of 24:47.00; time in Indiana Intercollegiate Championships is the fastest ever by a Purdue athlete on the Purdue Varsity Cross Country Course (built in 2001); finished first on the team and 31st overall at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational (10/2) with a career-best time of 24:11.90; ran a 25:17.60 at the Pre-National Invitational (10/16); finished the Big Ten Championships (10/31) in 44th place with a time of 24:47.60; ran a 31:28.63 at the 10K Great Lakes Regional meet, good for 45th place; had the two fastest times on the team for the season.
2009: Crossed the line 15th overall in the season-opening 8K Great American Legends (9/4), coming in at 27:37.96; finished third on the team and 23rd overall with an 8K time of 26:06.3 at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships (9/18); ran an 8K of 26:11.82 at the Greater Louisville Classic (10/3); led the Boilermakers to a second-place team finish at the Gibson Family Invitational (10/10), earning second overall with his top 8K as a Boilermaker at 25:56.3; crossed the line 12th overall at the Sam Bell Invitational (10/17), posting an 8K mark of 26:16.64; finished sixth on the team with an 8K time of 27:58.9 at the Big Ten Championships (11/1); ran a 10K at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship (11/14) with a mark of 34:15.22.
Before Purdue: Attended Abilene Christian University, where he earned 2008 All-America honors after a 40th place showing at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, helping the Wildcats to a fourth-place team showing; clocked a time of 32:17 for 10K at the NCAA meet.
High School: Four-year varsity letterwinner in cross country and track and field at Garden City High School (New York) and Cherry Creek High School (Colorado); 2007 and 2008 National Indoor Champion in the mile run; qualified for the prestigious Millrose Mile in 2005 and 2007; 2005 New York State Cross Country Champion; finished with a slew of impressive career bests including 15:09 in the 5,000-meter run, 3:49.62 in the 1,500-meter run, 2:27.76 in the 1,000-meter run and 1:52.64 in the 800-meter run.
